The energy world is changing. The phase-out of nuclear power and coal as well as the fixed climate targets lead to high complexity and variety of solutions in the transformation process 2050. Of crucial importance for the success of the energy transition are a high innovation dynamics in technologies and energy carriers, alongside new business models and alliances of the market players.

Power-to-X technologies and sector coupling, closed carbon cycles, and alternative application technologies are critical. And at the same time demand from the policy extended options for action and appropriate framework conditions.
